Led privacy project concerning the global rollout across a Fortune 500 company of a unified health and safety system internationally, across EMEA, the Americas and APAC intended to impact employees worldwide. This project involved:
- Conducting an initial privacy screening together with the Senior Director of the internal business function requesting the system rollout, alongside review dataflow diagrams and systems specifications
- Isolating regional variations across the Americas, APAC and EMEA, drawing on a team of privacy professionals to cover the regions
- Formulating written advice to the business via a Data Privacy Impact Assessment (DPIA) on how to progress the system rollout while address specific concerns, for example, around call recording and issues with regional laws, storage of potentially sensitive data subject to the GDPR in overseas jurisdictions, and the recommendation to undertake a phased rollout with EMEA due to the necessity of involvement of EMEA-based Works Councils
Cross-checking other departments in the business to ensure full awareness of all business units to the impact of the rollout.
