Pandemic, parenthood, and perseverance: Amelia’s route to STEP success

Please join us in congratulating Amelia Beringer on becoming the latest Wealth Preservation team member to attain the prestigious and exclusive full STEP membership.

Amelia’s route to becoming STEP qualified took the long way around. Still, one pandemic and two children later, Amelia is thrilled that her hard work and determination to complete it have paid off, and she can now add the coveted (at least in the world of Wealth Preservation!) ‘TEP’ suffix to her name!

The STEP qualification is no easy feat, with candidates required to complete exams in estate administration, trust administration, taxation of trusts and estates, and trust and estate accounting. It’s a qualification recognised internationally as an indication that someone is highly specialised, knowledgeable, and experienced in Wealth Preservation work.

Members are held to a high standard as they must adhere to the STEP Code of Professional Conduct, which requires them to act with integrity and in a manner that inspires the confidence, respect, and trust of their clients at all times. In England and Wales, members who draft Wills are also bound by STEP’s Will Code.

The Wealth Preservation team now boasts nine full members of STEP: Clare Harris,  Roger Peters, Matthew Biles, Mel Messenger, Anna Coakes, Rebecca Towey, Ellen Eley and Anna Turner, hopefully soon to be ten, with Edward Knox currently a student member.
