Having been with us for over a decade, Partner, Jamie McConnell, has a reputation for advising clients where the nature of their operations means complex commercial disputes regularly arise and he’s valued as a trusted adviser.

“No one wants to find themselves needing a commercial disputes lawyer. However, when they do, they need someone who is responsive, straight talking and pragmatic.

On top of that, I am incredibly mindful of adding value to clients, helping them to achieve great results, and also being someone clients get along with and trust.

I’m lucky enough to be the trusted adviser to many clients, who repeatedly reach out to me for advice, or to chat through key legal and commercial decisions. I really enjoy getting under the skin of a client’s business to understand their corporate goals, objectives, threats and challenges and it’s great to be seen as an extension to their team.”

Any examples of clients you can share?

“I’ve been fortunate enough to work with a number of international and UK clients in a wide variety of sectors, including a client in the manufacturing sector with over 14,000 employees worldwide for almost a decade. Whilst the trusted adviser relationship I enjoy with my clients means that I’m unable to be more specific, I frequently provide technical, complex, and commercial advice relating to issues that are pertinent to the client’s business and specific sector.

I’m also a commercial litigator: so any issues involving breach of contract, breach of duty, unfair prejudice, misrepresentation, fraud (and most other disputes), I can help.”

What would you say to anyone looking to get to know a lawyer they can trust?

Please get in touch!
