Charlotte is also skilled in conducting litigation due diligence, facilitating company restorations and providing advisory support in connection with acquisitions, re-financings, or group re-organisations to her Corporate & Commercial colleagues. This proves invaluable to clients, helping them to identify and mitigate the risk of potential litigation and reputational harm from the outset.
Charlotte recently acted for a European tax authority on a landmark fraud claim concerning a £1.5bn tax fraud alleged against 80+ defendants worldwide, in which she led the delivery of complex foreign law expert evidence at preliminary issue (Skatteforvvaltningen v Solo Capital Partners LLP & Ors [2023] EWHC 590 (Comm)) and main trial stage.
Charlotte has considerable experience in advising on procurement challenges. She has acted for contracting authorities, brought challenges on behalf of aggrieved bidders following tender award, and represented Interested Parties (including, notably, the successful tenderer for the HS2 Old Oak Common Station construction contract).
Outside of work, you can expect to find Charlotte either racking up the miles on Peloton or planning her next globe-trotting adventure. She is an avid traveller, having visited 48 countries and counting, from the likes of Bosnia to Belize.
