Lucy Baughan

Lucy acts on complex commercial and financial disputes, often involving multiple jurisdictions. She has a diligent eye for detail and can find creative solutions to legal problems. Lucy joined the firm in June 2024, having previously practiced at a City firm and where she was seconded to Hong Kong for six months. She has experience advising on high-value misrepresentation, conspiracy and fraud claims.

Lucy qualified as a solicitor, specialising in commercial disputes in September 2020. During her training contract, she was seconded to a Commercial Disputes team in Hong Kong.

She is an experienced Associate who has advised on:

• significant group litigation claims concerning loss of pension value;
• the successful defence of a US$2bn misrepresentation and conspiracy claim against a Thai wind energy company;
• various APP fraud claims and other banking-related claims including the wrongful closure of bank accounts by financial institutions; and
• bankruptcy and debt recovery proceedings.

In her spare time, Lucy is a keen musician and singer-songwriter who enjoys playing a variety of instruments.
