An All-rounded, Commercially Astute Apprentice
Apprentice Solicitor
The law bit is important, but I recognise that building strong relationships first is fundamental.
Living in Nanjing, China, to study Mandarin during a gap year and in New York City in the United States to intern at the UN Headquarters, as well as travelling across countries in South East Asia, the Middle East and Africa – I learnt two key lessons: the importance of communication in building trust and confidence in professional relationships and having curiosity in other people – who they are, what they believe in and what drives them. My approach to clients is built on my experiences across the world which emphasise on effective communication, being genuinely interested and delivering the best outcome.
I studied Politics at the University of East Anglia, graduating in 2021 and completed a Master of Arts in Law in September 2022.
I joined Greenwoods in October 2022 as a paralegal in the Real Estate team. From September 2023, I started a new role as an Apprentice Solicitor while studying a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in preparation to qualify as a Solicitor through the SQE route in September 2025.
During my time in the Real Estate team, I have had the pleasure of assisting colleagues in a multi-million-pound commercial property project for a listed company to helping a young couple purchase their first home – understanding a client’s objectives from the onset is crucial to delivering a service tailored to their needs. I strive to deliver the best outcome for clients, and I am conscientious in all that I do because what matters to them matters to me.
More recently, during my Risk and Compliance seat, I have had varied experiences such as helping clients to reach a resolution when things don’t go to plan, understanding risks which present the business and how to mitigate them, including updating firm policies and introducing new procedures to comply with evolving regulatory requirements.
I spend my free time (though very limited due to my studies) at the athletics club sprinting on the track twice a week, strength training at the gym, reading Victorian literature and visiting family.
